Historic Renovations
Pella® aluminum-clad wood windows with custom muntin patterns were used on the historic renovation of the George Washington National Masonic Memorial in Alexandria, VA. The 333-foot-tall memorial on historic Shooters Hill near the Potomac River overlooks the nation’s capitol. The original windows were matched using Pella’s historically accurate wood windows. Showcasing a Fusion of Eras
Pella Architect Series® sliding doors and Pella double-hung windows are showcased in the fusion of three historic buildings by Graham Gund Architects eight blocks from The White House. The former Lansburgh & Brother Department Store, a Kresge five-and-dime, and the Busch Building were combined to create a synergistic “new” residential building. Saving Historic Character
The renovation of the Winchester Town Hall in Winchester, Massachusetts, features Pella® aluminum-clad wood Architect Series® double-hung windows, fixed casement windows, and fixed curve-top windows. Custom grille patterns and various grille widths were used to match the historic character of the original wood windows. The building's architectural style boasts of the late Victorian era and is included on the National Register of Historic Places.
