Bennett Studio

Bennett Studio is committed to producing artistic public and private sculpture compositions. Each piece is both personal and poignant in nature. Christopher Bennett enjoys taking the time necessary to interview and research the individuals and theme of a given project. That is in order to present an exact, poetic, and enduring perspective of those who are being commemorated, or idea portrayed.

He specializes in classically rendered sculptures of human figures and animal wildlife. Chris has created over 50 public works of art for parks, colleges, liturgical settings, memorial monuments, hospitals, and 100's for private individuals. When creating a commissioned work of art for a particular site, Chris draws inspiration from nature, history and human relations. His site-specific works relate to and inspire the community or setting or origin. Numerous designs have been created and executed by Bennett Studio throughout Iowa, the Midwest, and in the nation.

Upon discussion of your ideas, Bennett Studio will offer to prepare drawings and/or models of the anticipated concept. Within the process of preparing a public or corporate work of art, there are allowances for approval of the composition at regular intervals. Clients are welcome to visit Bennett Studio at any time during the progress of the commission completion. Prototypes can be presented in person to the client, as well.

Collaboration with architects engineers, landscape designers, local contractors, and other services are welcome. Bennett Studio, ventures beyond the simple definition of sculpture as an object in space. An effort is made to incorporate, or in fact define the entire space that surrounds the central, or peripheral sculpture object that is being presented. The relationship between the sculpted object and its placement can be enhanced with attention to landscaping, a water feature, stone, metal or other materials that frame the composition.
