Buon Fresco ® Wall Artistry is a trend setting and attention getting surface finishing studio awarded numerous times for innovation and excellence in the decorative arts. The focus of the studio is in finding uniquely beautiful applications of materials and colors for each individual project. The studio directors, Victoria Bingham and Andre Kouznetsov use studio developed tools to effect highly unusual results such as polished Damask designs and actual scenic paintings using only colored Italian Plasters. Another studio strong point is color. Asserting that color is 99% of every finished project, Buon Fresco uses expert color combinations to bring about perfect coordination of the elements and color schemes provided by a given space.

Buon Fresco ® Wall Artistry's Murals The principal muralist for Buon Fresco is Andre Kouznetsov, a Russian born fine artist trained at the prestigious Academy of Fine Art in St. Petersburg, Russia. Kouznetsov s murals may be seen indoors and outdoors around Washington DC including BET, Café Milano, Le Lavandous and Villa Franco. His paintings are housed in collections in the United States, Russia and Poland.

Buon Fresco ® Wall Artistry's work for Interior Designers and architects have resulted in coverage in magazine journals, television and even the movies. The studio, a 2 time winner of the Elizabeth Warnock Prize for Excellence in the decorative Arts, has appeared in Luxury Home Magazine, Chesapeake Home Magazine, Better Homes & Gardens Paint Décor, Washingtonian Magazine as well as the Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal. The studio will be appearing on HGTV for the second time late summer 2005.

What is Buon Fresco? While the literal translation is True Fresco , the name is a reflection of the founding artists affinity for the verdant, earth look of the Italian colors, processes and materials used in decorative finishing. The studio began in January 1997, as the merging of the work of two fine artists, Andre Kouznetsov and Victoria Bingham.

Classes Buon Fresco's instructional arm, The Academy of Wall Artistry, began in 1997 with a mission to produce inspired decorative artists who strive for invention and excellence. The Academy teaches the finishes and techniques that we believe are the most essential to the high end finisher s repertoire. The curriculum is based on years of the studios own successes in the world of faux and fine arts. Students come to the Academy from all over the country and Puerto Rico and continually report back results of successful careers.
