Columbia Equipment Company, Inc. is the nation's oldest and most experienced shelter manufacturer. We created the prefabricated aluminum Bus Shelter back in 1961 over 38 years ago! Columbia Shelters are in use in thousands of locations -- in all 50 states -- including Alaska and Hawaii, and many other locations all around the world! We design, manufacture, install and maintain shelters. Columbia shelters are considered the most easily installed, weather-proof, vandal-resistant and maintenance-free shelters available. Maybe that is why many of the nation's leading consultants recommend us.

Columbia offers a comprehensive Shelter System with many interchangeable components in a choice of sizes and wall configurations. All Columbia Shelters are available with a choice of glazing material, aluminum finish and roof design as well as a variety of optional accessories including benches, display panels, lighting fixtures, graphic treatments, etc. Our standard models come with domed skylight roofs or two types of flat roofs, while custom and customized shelters can be furnished with pyramid skylight roofs, barrel vaults, hipped and gable skylight or standing seam metal roofs. In addition to the popular bronze, clear and black anodized aluminum finishes, we also offer a wide range of special colors in polyester powder coat paint finishes. We can even furnish "Old Fashioned" style shelters with grille and scroll work as well as other unique features.

Columbia Shelters are not only for Bus Stops. Our modular system has been used for Train Station Shelters, Platform Windscreens, "Downtown Passenger Interchange" Shelters, Taxi Stand and Shuttle Bus Shelters. We also manufacture Smoking Shelters, Equipment Shelters, Information and Ticket Vending Kiosks, ATM enclosures, Guard Booths, Walkway Canopies, Entrance Vestibules and various other custom enclosures.
