Look at the latch on our lantern. It is secure against wind yet opens easily without screws that are easily dropped or parts that jamb. Look at the hinge of the door. It is made by hand and folds inside supporting the entire length of the door. Look at the bars. It would be cheaper to make the lantern if they lay flat on the glass, but that would offer little protection against breakage. Look at the drip edge over the door. It keeps the rain out. The are small holes in the bottom - just large enough to let condensation escape yet small enough to keep insects out.

STYLE
Look at the proportions of the lights. Compare the balance of height and width. Look at the size of the bars against the overall size of the light. Look at the finishes. All are hand rubbed. Look at the choices. Colonial and Arts and Crafts stiles are pictured here, but that is not all we offer. *

Our catalog is an idea book. We work personally with our clients to adapt the lights in our catalog to meet the particular needs of their special application. Of course we can change the pattern of the bars on that light. Of course we can make that light in copper or brass and finish it to your particular specifications. Of course the chandelier can be painted or stained in any color to match your d‚cor and the wire can run through a hook instead of chain. The finish can be clear or distressed to any degree you wish.
