A family-owned design-build metal studio, Fine Architectural Metalsmiths is a five-time national award-winning team of metal artisans. This tightly-knit team of professional metalsmiths takes great pride in producing unusual, demanding projects with meticulous attention to detail of design and finish, merging the best of traditional forgework with the newest metal forming technologies.

Clients include the Federal Reserve Bank, Liberty St., NYC, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, the 1841 Courthouse in Goshen, NY, the Baroque Revival City Hall of Lewiston, Me. and the Tuxedo Golf Club, Tuxedo Park, NY.

From the precision fit of the upper staircase railings for the Federal Reserve Bank, to monumental antique gates carefully rebuilt with internal stainless steel splines to withstand the torque of hydraulic operators, Fine Architectural Metalsmiths brings in-house skills to challenging projects.

For more than two decades Fine Architectural Metalsmiths has earned a reputation of craftsmanship for fine driveway gate construction, period and whimsical garden gates, estate and pool fencing built to code and site conditions, hand-forged staircases, garden grilles and arbors, firescreens and home accessories, and Underwriter Laboratory approved custom chandeliers, sconces, and lanterns.

Fine Architectural Metalsmiths is located in the renovated 1890's former Borden's Creamery Icehouse building, just 70 miles north of NYC. Architects, designers and homeowners are all welcome to visit the large forge studio and metal fabrication center, plus the full showroom floor with "sketches in iron" of joinery and textures, gate, railing and fence design, furniture and lighting elements, specialty patinations and the new looks in steel finishing techniques for unusual architectural projects.
