About Lignomat USA, Ltd.
Lignomat was founded in 1979 with the goal to serve the wood products
industry by providing exceptional tools to insure the quality drying of wood.
Handheld Moisture Meters
The Mini-Ligno was introduced as the first pocket-size meter in 1979. Due to
its unique design and affordable price, the meter was an instant success. Soon
the mini-Ligno E and S were developed with a wider measuring range and the ability
to measure other building materials. In 1985 Lignomat introduced the
mini-Ligno C-Models. For more versatility, a connector was built-in to add an
external electrode or remote probes. In 1992 the availability of small-sized
microprocessors allowed us to develop the new mini-Ligno XL and the digital
DX - with improved reading accuracy, wider range and built-in corrections for
20 species settings. In 1995 continuous efforts to update our meters resulted
in new microprocessor based circuits for the original mini-Ligno, mini-lignos
E and S. As a result, today all mini-Lignos offer greater reliability and accuracy
through the latest microprocessor technology including automatic internal recalibration.
Over 130,000 units have been sold.
Kiln Controllers
Our first computer kiln controller, LSA-MP8, left Lignomat's factory
in Portland, Oregon in 1986. Today we have over 1000 units in operation all
over the world including the multi-zone controller LSA-LMC and a special predryer
controller LMC-S8. In seeking for excellence in quality and customer satisfaction,
Lignomat has never stopped in the improvement of our products in quality
and service.After two years effort, we have recently brought to the market our
upgraded computer control systems, KCM and PLC. The new system combined the
three units of LSA to a single compacted unit and further increased its reliability.

In-Line Moisture Meters
Lignomat's management is always serching for advanced technology to meet
the ever increasing need of quality in wood products industry. Our new in-line
mositure meter from Lignomat uses a patented dual-frequency measureing
technology that increases the accuracy considerably. Tests have confirmed that
the measurements are not dependent upon lumber density. A recent University
study compared the accuracy of in-line moisture testers from several different
manufacturers. The Lignomat meter was found to be the most accurate and
reliable metrer. Lignomat's in-line moisture meter can be used to reduce
moisture problems during and after production in any wood processing application.
Wet boards can be marked and rejected before running through the production
process. The tracking program is used to evaluate kiln performance. Moisture
values can be displayed in a 3D format in accordance with the position of each
package in the kiln.

What the Lignomat Moisture Meter will do for you:
The Lignomat Inline Moisture Meter applies a new improved technology to the problem of accurately tracking and analyzing each piece of lumber processed at your facility. Our meter operates using dual frequencies thus allowing for accurate moisture readings regardless of density changes within a species. Lignomat’s Inline Moisture Meter has been shown by independent testing to be one of the most accurate systems available. Lignomat guarantees when the system is operated per our operating instructions a repetition accuracy of +/_ 0.5% wood moisture or better. (Note: All accuracy is expressed as compared to oven dry samples.)
