High Intensity Discharge (H.I.D.) lighting sources are available in either Mercury Vapor (M.V.), High Pressure Sodium (H.P.S.), or Metal Halide (M.H.). There is a significant cost savings by using the H.I.D. sources in lieu of an incandescent light source. Savings on electrical use, bulb life, lumen output, and maintenance are very substantial. Kits are available for most single- and double-fixture globes and lanterns. Optional photo-electric eye controls are also available.
