Our employees are trained, conscientious and experienced craftsmen who are consistently held to the highest of expectations. We only offer masonry restoration contracting and consulting services. We do not do new masonry construction, because we feel strongly that if we did, it would cloud our focus, and divert us from our passion for historic masonry restoration. Our specialty is restoring the masonry on buildings that are on the state or national historic register. Abstract's founder and president, John Lambert, is actively involved in training architects, building owners, engineers, and other masonry contractors nation wide the skills needed to properly restore historic masonry. He conducts "hands on" intensive workshops for the Traditional Building Skills Institute at Snow College in Ephraim, Utah as well as the Campbell Center for Historic Preservation Studies in Mount Carroll, Illinois. John has traveled, and continues to travel extensively throughout Europe helping restore prominent 200 to 600 year old masonry buildings and learning from European masonry craftsmen along the way. Learning European methodology and techniques enhances the expertise of his empolyees in Utah and thereby benefits Utah's historic masonry buildings. In addition to his masonry restoration contracting business, John provides expert historic masonry restoration consulting services to architects, prominent building owners and clients nation wide.
