Orlandi Statuary

In 1911, our great uncle Egisto Orlandi from Lucca, Italy, founded Orlandi Statuary. Because he took great pride in his craft and reputation, Orlandi casting soon set the industry's highest standard of excellence. Artists, interior designers and museums relied upon the careful detailing and impeccable quality standards he demanded.

Today at Orlandi we continue this tradition of pride in our craftsmanship and materials. Our staff of sculptors and product designers continue to define their artistic talents to create unique design, and your most challenging custom orders. At our factory and showroom in Chicago, Illinois, our staff is made up of artists, sculptors, mold makers, casters, finishers and packers working to create the finest product in the market place. With four generations of experience and knowledge, we have what it takes to get the job done for a reasonable price. Whether you are looking for one of our fine reproductions or looking for a custom sculpture of your own design, we have the resources to make your dream come true.

We have perfected the use of materials used to manufacture a wide range of products, depending on their use. Our media for manufacturing is comprised of three materials:

Fiberglass By mastering the art of casting our products in fiberglass resin, we manage to retain all the detail of the original with the added benefits of being stronger, lighter and suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Shipping costs are kept low because of its lightweight properties.

Fiber Stone Fiberglass with a mixture of sand and stones cast into the surface. It is then sandblasted and chemically treated, followed by an acid stain to give the appearance of aged stone. Since it is reinforced with a fiberglass backing, it remains lightweight and less fragile than concrete. It's also easier to move than identical concrete products, and safe for outdoor use.

Tuffstone ™ Although not suited for outdoor use, tuffstone is the highest quality plaster available to us. It is very durable but not chalky.

Cast Stone A special blend of portland cement and lightweight aggregates.

After the product has been designed, molded, casted, and hand finished, our artisans complete the process by hand, painting each item from our extensive color palette. This process gives the product a special, one-of-a-kind appearance.

Over the years, Orlandi Statuary has evolved into a company supplying much more than just statuary. Today our repertoire includes many collections from product lines including: Home Décor, Aged Stone for the Garden, Religious Statuary, Fountains & Garden Ornaments, and Columns & Pedestals.

As the company continues to grow, the Orlandi family has found the need to be competitive in the market while keeping up with current design trends of the 21st century. We are committed to being an icon in the market and have developed a national sales force, emphasizing the importance of customer service and satisfaction. Meanwhile, we have strengthened the company’s presentation, product development and image. In addition, new product lines and finishes have been created, as well as a new division called Orlandi Custom. Essentially, we have created an exciting vision for the company and its next generation.

So, after 90 years of making some of the most beautiful statuary in the world, we wish to thank you for your continuous patronage and look forward to the Orlandi Family's next generation.
