The Verdin Company

At The Verdin Company, making history is our business. Since 1842, six generations of the Verdin family have been dedicated to creating the finest cast bronze bells, carillons, bell & clock towers, street clocks and monuments that become cherished legacies for years to come.

Today’s generation of Verdin family owners remains equally committed to making only the highest quality products. We are continually inventing new product lines and improving technology, so that owning and operating a Verdin Product is more convenient and rewarding that ever.

Innovation has always been and continues to be the hallmark of the Verdin business. Since its first installation of a tower clock in 1842, the company has pioneered several breakthroughs in the bell and clock industry, including:

• First municipal tower clock installation
• Invention of continuous winder for clocks
• Introduction of first electric bell ringer in America
• Introduction of electronic bell carillons
• Design and manufacture of world’s largest swinging bell – the 66,000 lb World Peace Bell – to commemorate the millennium
• Development of the world’s first traveling bell foundry

The Verdin Company builds and installs its products in a variety of commercial locations from airports and hotels to shopping centers and amusement parks. Custom Clocks are found in these locations, as well as tower installations of clock & bell combinations and street clocks.

Verdin’s peerless craftsmanship is displayed in more that 35,000 installations world- wide, including the Smithsonian Institute, Walt Disney World, Princeton University, the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, The World Peace bell and the Mayo Clinic.
